Gamer: Arizona State

January 11, 2018

The Ducks head into a curious Arizona State basketball contest Thursday night in Tempe. By curious I mean the fact Oregon is 11-5 overall and Oregon is 13-2.

But their conference record is much more identical. Both squads are 1-2 in conference play thus far.

The Sun Devils were white-hot early this season before hitting the skids in the last two weeks. Arizona State has opened up with losses to Arizona and Colorado but do have a win over Utah.

Oregon meanwhile has losses to Utah and Oregon State but a win over Colorado. So go figure.

The Sun Devils are lead by solid guard play in Tra Holder and Shannon Evans II. Both are averaging 21 (Holder) and 17 (Evans) points per game this season. Cleaning the boards is 6-foot-8, 220-pound freshman forward Romello White.

Oregon appears to be relatively healthy for this contest and ready to put together a complete game. The lack of experience and chemistry continues to haunt this Oregon team.

Tipoff is set for 7 PM PST and will air on FS1.
