The Impact: Okoro commitment

May 14, 2018

In an outstanding year for Dana Altman and his recruitment of the 2018 class alongside the rest of the coaching staff, the dominance continues for Altman and the Ducks. They landed Francis Okoro and 6-10 big from Normal West in Illinois. Okoro took an official visit to Eugene in the first week of April, his first ever visit after having an offer for two years.

Okoro is obviously lengthy, his shot blocking strength is without a doubt some of the best in the country. Quick on his feet and with his outstanding build Okoro has been called anywhere from a beast, monster, and even a physical specimen. He is also excellent at defending in the paint.

On the offensive end, Okoro isn't your ordinary big. With his terrific athleticism, he has the ability to run the floor and drive through the lane. If you jump with Okoro (which you shouldn't) it could end up messy for the defense.
