NEW YORK, N.Y. – With 25 consecutive starts at center over the last two seasons, Oregon junior Jake Hanson has been named to the Rimington Trophy Fall Watch List unveiled on Friday.

Hanson is one of 58 players on the Rimington Watch List, which is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football.

The preseason recognition marks second time in his career that Hanson has made the Rimington Trophy Watch List, as the Eureka, Calif., native has earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention honors each of the last two seasons.

Hanson has played 97 percent of the offensive snaps since becoming the starting center in 2016. Over that span, Oregon rushed for over 200 yards in 19 of 25 games, highlighted by eight performances of 300 or more yards.

While more than a dozen All-America teams are selected annually, the Rimington Trophy committee used these three prestigious teams to determine a winner:

·        Walter Camp Foundation (WCF)

·        Sporting News (SN)

·        Football Writers Association of America (FWAA)

1,843 – Over the last two seasons as Oregon’s starting center, Hanson has not allowed a sack in 1,843 snaps played.
