Fall Camp Day 4 Notes

August 6, 2018

With practice in full swing the Ducks hit the field in shells on Monday. A number of players have emerged early and the Oregon staff continues to work through it's 'organizational chart' as Mario Cristobal calls it.

A trio of defensive Oregon coaches met with media on Monday. Keith Heyward, Joe Salave'a and Jim Leavitt all spoke with media on Monday. All three coaches preached culture which is something we've heard Mario Cristobal talk about at length on every occasion.

So far Jevon Holland has made a name for himself on defense and that continued again on Monday. The freshman safety has been mentioned for his interceptions by Rob Moseley and has grabbed at least one through every practice this Fall.

Keith Heyward talked about Holland as well on Monday and how the Ducks will work to get the 11 best on the field at once.

Nose tackle Popo Aumavae continues to make an impression at the nose tackle position. Jordon Scott is in no danger of losing his spot but dpeth will be an issue this season. Scott won't be able to play every snap of every game.

Steve Stephens is also making a name for himself along with Holland. The freshman duo has a chance to contribute on defense and on special teams.

Moseley also reported newcomer Sione Vea Kava making some headway. Ater his last minute arrival to Oregon, Vea Kava could be a real bright spot this Summer. He'll need to get up to speed in conditioning and in the weight room.
