With Oregon set to host Washington this week, Mario Cristobal talked about the big game. Coming off a bye week there was a lot to go over as a team and a coaching staff.

With the Pac-12 wide open this is a big week for both Oregon and Washington.

Here are the highlights from Cristobal's press conference with video being added later.

On experience of Stanford Loss:

"I think anything as the season goes on, any experience you have is valuable. We certainly don't feel we're the same team we were a year ago. We don't think we're the same team we were three weeks ago."

On the Rivalry:

"When you're playing Pac-12 football, every week is a playoff week. The motivation takes care of itself in a positive way. They're excited. I know the entire country will have eye on this game to see what happens in Autzen."

On teams improvements thus far:

"We feel we improved from a discipline standpoint. There's plenty of room for improvement. But there is progress. We want to improve our coverage teams. Certain pressures, blocks, pass patterns, technique, use of hands, hat level, I don't think there's ever not a time where you're not finding a way to improve. We focus on three things as a position group then three things as a unit overall."

On UW this year vs last year:

"They're very similar. Arguably one of the best backs. (Gaskin) A guy that's explosive. Hard to tackle. They have a guy (QB) that knows how to run that offense. We don't see any drop off from them offensively. I don't think they get enough credit for how athletic they are on defense. They bring a lot of different things to test you offensively. We see a lot of the same stuff."

On what staff watched Saturday:

"The competitive nature of the conference. It's anyone's conference. Watched a lot of the UCLA-Washington game."

On injuries:

"We feel good and even ahead of schedule is Braxton Burmeister. We feel good about him being full-go tomorrow. (Darrian) Felix should be back by Wednesday. CJ (Verdell) is fine. Austin (Faoliu) is good to go. The bye week has helped out."
