Oregon Loses Director of Recruiting

January 4, 2019

It was widely reported on Thursday Oregon would lose two personnel from its current staff. Linebacker coach Cort Dennison left Oregon for Louisville and would assume a co-DC role.

Additionally it was also reported Oregon’s director of recruiting would leave Oregon for Louisville. While he has decided Friday morning to leave Oregon, his desination is unclear. However Louisville remains an option.

Field updated ScoopDuck with the following statement on his decision.

“My love for Mario Cristobal and the Oregon program are to the highest level,” Field said. “I love the players that are coming in and the players there now. It is an amazing place to be and the coaches are amazing.”

In recent weeks there had been some developments in Field’s personal life drawing him closer to his home base in South Florida. At this moment he has not accepted an offer to join the Louisville staff but that is a possibility.

The Ducks will look to fill this role as quickly as possible ahead of the upcoming open period that begins on Jan. 6.
