Burmeister Enters Transfer Portal

January 11, 2019

Friday morning sources confirmed with ScoopDuck backup quarterback Braxton Burmeister has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

It would appear the backup intends on exploring his options. Although his name is in the portal, it does not confirm Burmeister will in fact transfer. The move allows otehr schools to contact Burmeister to gauge interest.

In limited action Burmeister went 5 for 10 this season for 43 yards. Last season he played more snaps with the injury to Justin Herbert. Last season he went 44 for 77 for 330 yards with 2 touchdowns against 6 interceptions.

Coming out of La Jolla (Calif.) Burmeister was a late flip signee from Arizona. The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder was a 4-star recruit and No. 305 ranked player in the 247Sports Composite.

Oregon has Tyler Shough on the roster as well and 2019 signee Cale Millen has already enrolled at Oregon. Both will compete for backup duties along with Burmeister should he decide to stay at Oregon.
