At what point do we start calling Narbonne high school (Calif.) an Oregon pipeline?

The Ducks once again pulled in a big-time prospect out of Narbonne in defensive back Jared Greenfield. The 6-foot, 180-pounder visited for the Spring game in April and left Eugene with high praise for the Ducks. Oregon was expected to be the team to beat headed into that weekend so his commitment might not come as a huge surprise.

However with some time passing and the Ducks landing several big time defensive backs in the 2020 class along with signing Chris Steele as a transfer. The Trojans were also making a strong push for Greenfield leading up to this commitment. Tennessee, ASU, Cal and others were also factors in his recruitment.

Greenfield is the No. 484 ranked player in the 247Sports Composite. However his ranking with 247Sports’ own ranking is much higher at 284 making him a four-star.

Donte’ Williams and Keith Heyward continue to pull in big-time talent from California and nationally. Greenfield now joins Avantae Williams, Myles Slusher, Luke Hill and Peter Latu (Could be an OLB) as defensive back commits in this 2020 class.
