Costa Joins Oregon Staff

May 8, 2019

Mario Crisotbal continues to expand his staff in a number of ways. This time he has added to his offensive coaching staff in a complimentary role.

Former Oregon quarterback Nate Costa pushed his way into coaching as IMG Academy (Fla.) offensive coordinator. Last year he spent the season with UCLA under Chip Kelly as an offensive analyst.

He will join Oregon in a similar role as an offensive analyst. At Oregon Costa will have an emphasis on working with the quarterbacks including Justin Herbert and Tyler Shough.

Oregon lost its last offensive analyst, Danny Langsdorf to Fresno State after the season when he joined that staff as the offensive coordinator under Jeff Tedford.

Cristobal reached out to Costa last year about interest in joining his staff however Costa elected to head to Los Angeles with Chip Kelly.

Bruce Feldman of the Athletic was the first to report this move.
