5-star tight end talks recruitment and commitment plans

June 6, 2019

This year's signing of Kayvon Thibodeaux proved that when it comes to 5 stars, Oregon is no longer just another hat on the table.

For 2020, Oregon is in contention for 5-star (0.9946) Las Vegas (Nev.) tight end Darnell Washington. The 247Sports Composite rates the 6-7½, 255-pound Desert Pines High standout as the No. 11 player and the No. 1 athlete in the nation.

Washington is regarded by many as the best tight end to ever come out of high school, and recruiting sites agree they have not seen a talent like him in a while.
