Pittman Putting in the Work

August 7, 2019

On Wednesday Oregon wide receiver Mycah Pittman met with media following Oregon’s first padded practice.

To date, Pittman has been a big talk of the early portion of Fall camp. Now with an injury to Brenden Schooler all eyes are on the receiver group.

Pittman spoke following practice and we wrote down the highlights for all of you with the full video posted below.

On ‘No Dropped Passes:’

“So I’m upset with myself. I dropped one today. I’ll be honest with you guys, I ran a little stick route, I ended up getting my facemask grabbed but it hit my hands so I can’t it as a drop. Not gonna lie, I almost cried.”

On Competition So Far:

“Very physical, fast game. These guys are my friends but I’m hitting them like they aren’t my friends. Shout to Kahlef (Hailassie), I got him better, he got me better.”

On WR Competition:

“We grow, me Josh (Delgado) and JR (Waters) actually stayed after for about 2.5 hours watching film together. It’s not more competing with each other, it’s pushing each other.”

On Brother at USC:

“Me and my brother, we always talk. It’s that brotherly love. It is what it is. Even if he scores on us, I’m really excited but then it’s my turn to go score next.”

On Staying after practice:

“I’m a guy that’s stayed after every Fall camp.”

On highlight Catches:

“I mean honestly, I don’t expect anything less from myself. If anything I expect more. At the end of the day I probably could have run under it and scored the touchdown.”

On playing inside/outside:

“Me and Redd have been focusing on the slot but I have been bouncing outside a little more now.”
