Oregon Basketball Recruiting

August 18, 2019

For the second times this week Dana Altman has put on his wizard hat, sprinkled some fairy dust and zapped himself another magic trick.

This time he conjured up a 6-foot-6, 180-pound wing in Addison Patterson. The Canadian pipeline remains open with the latest addition from Bella Vista Prep (Ariz.) via Milton, Ontario.

Patterson is the No. 35 overall ranked player in the country by the 247Sports Composite. However that ranking is for the 2020 class. Patterson will re-classify to the 2019 class joining Oregon for this season.

Earlier this week Oregon was also able to lure in five-star center N’faly Dante. The big man was also ranked as part of the 2020 class but will re-classify to the 2019 class as well.

With a number of players departing early from last season, Altman had a number of holes to fill. Through transfers, recruiting and re-classifications, he has somehow pulled together an impressive unit currently drawing top 10 praise.
