Oregon Blasts Nevada: By the Numbers

It wasn't a surprise, but Oregon still managed a big win over Nevada on Saturday night. But even with Oregon doing what they were supposed to do, it was an impressive performance nonetheless.

The most important number is always the one at th eend of the box score. This one happened to read Oregon 77, Nevada 6.

An impressive win no doubt. 

But here are a few numbers from that game that caught our attention. So we’re passing them on to you.

11 - Different players scored a touchdown for Oregon. Easily my favorite stat of the game.

623 - Total yards of offense. Over 400 through the air.

4 for 5 - On 4th down tries for Oregon. 

8.4 - Average yards per play for Oregon.

6 for 6 - Oregon in the red zone. 

13 - Tackles for loss by Oregon. 

0 - Oregon field goal attempts. 

8 - After the fumble in the first quarter, Oregon scored a touchdown on 8 straight drives.

7 - Number of tackles for DJ Johnson who led all Oregon players.

3 - Tackles for loss by DJ Johnson, again leading all players.

28 - Oregon scored 28 points in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. 

8.9 - Oregon averaged 8.9 YPP in the fourth quarter with backup units.

6 - Oregon finished with 6 penalties for 34 yards. 

26 - Average field position for Nevada. (Oregon was 44)

41.7 - Oregon third down percent for conversions. Nevada was 17.6%.
