Marcus Arroyo Talks Offense & Cal Win

October 8, 2019

Tuesday was the first day the media met with coaches and players after practice. With this week’s game on Friday night things have moved up a day in the Oregon schedule.

The Ducks survived a slow offensive start on Saturday to beat Cal and take full command of the Pac-12 north.

Below are the highlights from Marcus Arroyo as well as a few other offensive players videos linked at the bottom.

On Colorado:

“Colorado is another great defense with a great staff. Coached well and a good scheme. We feel good about what we’re doing in a short week to get ready. It’s a careful balance trying to do too much in a short week. There’s some carry over a little bit.”

On Getting WR’s Back:

“I think you saw some of the stuff you saw in the Spring. We knew there’d be some rust, there was some given rust. Getting those guys re-activated and going again. It’s good to see those guys in the mix.”

On Explosive Plays:

“We try to stay away from the stats. The big play rate is something we look at for sure. The 10's are really high we just need to look at the 20’s.”

On CJ Verdell:

“CJ’s got that ability. He looked good, he looked fresh. It was good to see him with a little pep in his step.”

On Andy Avalos:

“I’ve known Andy a long time. He’s detailed and demanding.”

On Darrian Felix?

“Just being 100-percent. We’re excited every day he gets a little better.”

On Herbert Missing Throws:

“No one’s more critical than coaches and players on themselves. There’s a couple things he’d want back in that game.”
