Oregon Football Up to No. 6 in CFB Playoff Ranking

November 12, 2019

As will remain the formula for Oregon football, win and you’re in. Probably.

On Tuesday night the college football playoff committee updated its rankings. With a little movement during Oregon’s bye week, the Ducks inched closer to being in the playoff discussion.

This week Oregon is pegged as the No. 6 team in the country by the committee. Despite the loss to LSU, Alabama remains one spot ahead of the Ducks at No. 5. Meanwhile that pushed Georgia into the top four as they face Auburn this weekend. That’s a massive game for Oregon fans to keep an eye on.

Last week Utah was one spot behind Oregon, that remains the same this week. The Utes check in at No. 7 giving Oregon a chance at a top ten matchup in the Pac-12 championship game potentially.

Minnesota’s big win over Penn State pushed them up to No. 8, one spot ahead of the Nittany Lions.

Here is the full top ten just announced on ESPN.

1. LSU

2. Ohio State

3. Clemson

4. Georgia

5. Bama

6. Oregon

7. Utah

8. Minnesota

9. Penn State

10. Oklahoma

(Auburn is No. 12 as they host No. 4 Georgia this week.)
