As if a Rose bowl win wasn’t enough. The Ducks ushered in the new year with a huge win and now a huge commitment.

Raytown (Mo.) star defensive back Dontae Manning has committed to Oregon over Georgia and others from his announcment on ESPN at the Under Armour All-American game. Manning is the No. 76 overall player in the 247Sports Composite. He’s also the No. 6 ranked cornerback in those same rankings.

Although he is announcing his commitment today, Manning has already signed with Oregon as part of the 2020 class. His signature had not been announced by Oregon so he could make his commitment on live television.

The 6-foot, 185-pounder is a huge addition to this secondary class that lost a couple commits leading up to the early signing day.

With his commitment the Ducks should move ahead of Washington and take over the No. 1 spot in the Pac-12 and move closer to the top ten rankings nationally.

Manning is not expected to enroll early at Oregon.
