Oregon Loses Assistant Donte' Williams to USC

February 10, 2020

Recruiting never sleeps. Neither does football news.

Some post-signing day movement has hit the Ducks. This time Oregon cornerbacks coach, Donte’ Williams, is the center of attention. USC has been trying to lure the Ducks’ assistant for weeks abut has finally gotten a deal done per multiple reports and sources close to ScoopDuck.

The Ducks signed the top-ranked recruiting class in 2020. Donte’ Williams was a large part of that success finishing as the top-ranked recruiter in the conference. His work helped Oregon land 5-Star Dontae Manning and Luke Hill among others.

Williams has been at Oregon the past two seasons. Under his direction, Deommodore Lenoir and Thomas Graham have each made tremendous strides in their development, landing on some early NFL draft boards.

Expect Oregon to move quickly to find a replacement for Williams however with no immediate recruiting demands, time is not of the essence.

Look for a hot board to follow this update shortly after.
