Oregon Football Recruiting

October 12, 2020

Mario Cristobal and staff have done it again on the recruiting trail. This time it’s a big addition to the defensive backfield for the Ducks.

Oregon has landed a verbal commitment from Kearns (Utah) safety Jeffrey Bassa Monday night. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder made the announcement on his Instagram page.

With the Ducks needing depth in the safety group, Bassa becomes a big part of the 2021 commit list for Oregon. He’s the No. 7 ranked player in the state of Utah giving the Ducks’ its third commitment from the state. He joins Daymon David at the safety group for Keith Heyward.

Oregon now sits at 22 verbal commits in the 2021 class. With a maxmimum signing of 25, the Ducks will have limited spots left moving forward.

The Ducks have the No. 3 ranked recruiting class in the country and No. 1 class in the Pac-12.
