Pritchard Goes First Round

November 18, 2020

Oregon fans were greeted with some great news Wednesday night. With the NBA draft in full swing, late in the first round, Oregon native and former guard Payton Pritchard heard his name called.

The Boston Celtics drafted Pritchard with the No. 26 pick in the draft. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder graduated from West Linn (Ore.) to play his college ball with Dana Altman and the Ducks.

Pritchard would go on to break a number of Oregon records in a historic four-year career. He leaves Oregon as its assist leader, wins leader and starts leader in program history. He was also the first Pac-12 player in history to post 1,900 points, 500 rebounds and 600 assists in a career.
