QUUUUAAAACCCCKKKK - Ducks Land 4-Star Safety

March 26, 2021

The Ducks have scoured the country for elite talent under Mario Cristobal. This time they were fortunate to have a big-time player right in their backyard.

Jefferson (Ore.) safety Trejon Williams committed to Oregon Friday. The 6-foot, 195-pounder is one of the top-rated safeties in the 2022 class. Williams is the No. 211 ranked player and No. 11 safety nationally per the 247Sports Composite. His ranking is much higher on 247Sports own ranking however, at No. 137 nationally and the No. 9 ranked safety.

Once Oregon got involved in his recruitment they were the seeming favorite to land him. The Ducks did not take his recruitment for granted however and made him a top priority.

Williams has been invited and committed to playing in the All-American game in Texas in January.

The Ducks now have 7 verbal commitments in the 2022 class.

Williams joins fellow in-state linebacker Emar’rion Winston giving the Ducks two in-state pledges already in this 2022 class. Oregon only signed one in-state prospect in the 2021 class in Lebanon’s star linebacker Keith Brown.
