NFL Draft Preview: Rounds 3-5

It’s tough to make it into the first two rounds of the NFL draft. There is a lot of elite talent for those 64 slots.

Oregon has several players who could be taken in the next tier of talent: Rounds 3-5. However, I would expect a couple of these Ducks to still be available in Day 3.

Deommodore Lenoir

Lenoir was one of the draft-eligible Ducks who opted in for 2020. It was encouraging to have a veteran like Lenior back, and the team that takes him will be getting a gritty leader at outside corner.

And Lenior’s stock could be rising. At Pro Day, he flashed a 4.44 40 -- the fastest time of all the DBs.

Ideally, Lenoir ends up as the third or fourth corner with veterans he can lean on and learn from. For example, with his strengths in press and man coverage, he could flourish in Los Angeles alongside Jalen Ramsey.

Thomas Graham Jr.

Graham is one of those dark horse picks, which makes it hard to project him to a specific team. But I do think his name will be called on the second day.

Graham was solid as a slot corner at Oregon. He knows how to use his hands to keep shifty receivers close.

A lot of teams could benefit from his skill set, including the Bears, Raiders and Eagles.

Expect Graham to stick in the league as a fourth or fifth corner.

Hunter Kampmoyer

Kampmoyer emerged in his senior year as a real threat in the passing game, making him more valuable to NFL teams. We already knew that he was capable of holding his own in the run game.

My ideal fit for Kampmoyer is the Patriots. They run a lot of multiple TE sets with an emphasis on jumbo athletes who do it all. Kampmoyer might check all their boxes for a late-rounder.

The Vikings are another intriguing possibility. They let Kyle Rudolph go this past offseason and have numerous picks in the middle rounds.

Austin Faoliu

Faoliu prides himself on his versatility, being able to play multiple spots on the defensive line. A lot of teams might see his value, including the Bills.

Faoliu could be a great complimentary piece to Mario Addison and Jerry Hughes. He could be the one who keeps the middle contained while the others go to work rushing the quarterback.
