Randazzo Talks Oregon Commitment

June 18, 2017

On Sunday the Ducks scored a massive commit in 6-foot-7, 315-pound offensive lineman Christopher Randazzo.

The Oregon staff was at a satellite camp at the University of Redlands. Randazzo already had an offer from the Ducks but decided to attend.

Following his workout with Mario Cristobal, Randazzo was ready to play for him in college.

"That's really what made me want to commit to Oregon," Randazzo said. "I met him when I was up at Oregon in April and I really liked his approach. He's very straight forward and doesn't BS you. And I really like that about him. He was the same at the camp today too. I just liked the way he worked us made us want to get better."

Coach Taggart was the first to get the report from his newest commit.

"Coach Taggart pulled me aside and was talking to me about how they like me and they need me up at Oregon. I told him I had some good news for him and I committed. He was pretty pumped about it. All of the coaches were excited."

Randazzo said he won't be taking many visits and considers himself locked in with the Ducks.

"I know I'll take a visit to Oregon but that will be the only visit I take. I'm excited to take my official up there and see a game."

At this point he's unsure if he will be able to enroll early or not.

"We haven't really talked it over yet. So when me and my parents get home we'll sort that out."

The Ducks have now secured a second offensive line commit to pair with Dawson Jaramillo. It will be pretty interesting to see what impact this has on the remaining offensive line targets as they race to lock in a spot at Oregon.
