Reitmaier Leaves Oregon

July 16, 2017

The Ducks are dealing with some turnover on its roster. Just this week Darren Carrington was dropped from the squad after his latest run-in.

Multiple sources confirm with ScoopDuck Rutger Reitmaier has decided to transfer. The primary reason cited was distance from home.

The 6-foot-3, 270-pounder was an Army All-American defensive end out of high school. Reitmaier was ranked as the No. 340 overall player in the 247Sports Composite.

Originally from Lipscomb Academy in Tennessee, Reitmaier will likely end up transferring closer to home. He had enrolled at Oregon this Spring and was a part of Spring football. Under the NCAA rules he will be forced to sit a year at his next stop.

Also absent from today's roster was Darren Carrington, Rex Manu and Dylan Kane. ScoopDuck has not confirmed whether Manu or Kane have also transferred or for any clarification at this time.
