Oregon 2019 Commit earns 5th Star

August 7, 2017

Oregon might only have one commit in the 2019 class, but it's a big one. From a monster Saturday Night Live weekend, Oregon landed Fort Bend Travis (Texas) receiver Arjei Henderson.

On Monday updated its 2019 top 100 rankings. One of the newly minted five-stars included Henderson. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder was ranked as No. 7 overall. One spot ahead of him at No. 6 was fellow Texan and top Oregon target Theo Wease Jr.

Tops on their list was USC quarterback commit JT Daniels, whom I also agree is the top player in the country.

“Part of the rationale for Henderson picking up his fifth star is that he has been every bit as impressive as Wease at events this spring and has a lot of the same characteristics as a receiver. He's not quite as tall as Wease, but his hands are as consistent as it gets and where he's really been impressive is his ability to win contested battles for passes with defenders, in addition to his smooth route-running. Henderson also is very good at making adjustments to come back to the ball on misfired passes and can bail out quarterbacks while making spectacular plays in the process. Henderson committed to Oregon at the end of July. ” - Nick Krueger

Another notable is running back Sean Dollars at No. 43.

St. Louis (Hawaii) defensive tackle Faatui Tuitele is No. 45.

Mater Dei (Calif.) athlete Bru McCoy, whom has visited Oregon, is No. 50 overall.

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) defensive back Jeremiah Criddell is No. 60.

Saturday Night Live visitors Trejan Bridges (WR) and lineman Jonah Tauanu'u are at No. 81 and 97.
