Scrimmage Report

August 12, 2017

The only media present for today's Scrimmage at Oregon was editor in chief Rob Moseley. So we will be relying on his lone update for a few of the highlights from today.

Without copying his report entirely, we'll just post a few of the highlights from his report for discussion purposes.

Today's practice featured the first team offense against the second team defense and vice-versa. It would appear from his report Justin Herbert had a very strong day.

With the offensive line playing as cohesively as it has all preseason, Herbert had lots of time to throw, and he took advantage. Unofficially, the sophomore finished 17-of-20 for 274 yards and four touchdowns. His first incompletion was nearly intercepted by La'Mar Winston Jr., and another potential interception by Billy Gibson in the end zone was waved off due to a penalty, but overall Herbert looked very crisp.

The No. 1 defense had a strong day holding the No. 2 offense to a single touchdown, scored by Cyrus Habibi-Likio.

It was also noted that Brenden Schooler participated today.

Moseley also noted there were quite a few offensive penalties from the officiating crew on hand.

It was also good to hear Jacob Breeland collect a touchdown from Justin Herbert. Breeland has been spotted wearing a club on his hand at practices.

Last note I will 'borrow' from Moseley includes Darrian McNeal and Darrian Felix returning kicks.
